Paul Schurink

Paul is the co-founder of Showpower Global B.V., an innovative start-up leading the way in sustainable power solutions for large-scale international events. He is an expert in the field of temporary energy supply and sustainability and innovations in power design while holding an MBE in Energy Systems. Paul has been involved in many large-scale events, festivals and world tours including Coldplay Music of the Spheres, Glastonbury, Lollapalooza Chicago, Olympics & Winter Olympic Games, UEFA EURO 2012, Global Citizen Festival and The Ocean Race.

Paul takes a primary role as project leader, expert and consultant in sustainable power solutions, specialising in energy assessment, measurement and logging, deployment and management of battery systems as well as design of reliable and optimal power supply for events using his unique Smart Power Plan.

Finally, Paul was the co-founder of ZAP (Zero Air Pollution) Concepts and Green Events Netherlands, leading organisations that inspire event organisers to take sustainable measures to substantially reduce carbon emissions. He also participated in the creation and delivery of the International Green Deal Circular Festivals initiative.
