Madame Gandhi

Kiran Gandhi, who performs as Madame Gandhi, is an American electronic music producer, drummer, artist and activist. Gandhi's music career includes being a touring drummer for artists M.I.A., Thievery Corporation, and Kehlani. She began producing music in 2015, after her story running the London Marathon free-bleeding to combat menstrual stigma went viral around the world. Today Madame Gandhi travels to speak, DJ and perform internationally. She recently traveled to Antarctica while pursuing her Masters in Music, Science and Technology at Stanford University's CCRMA to record the sounds of glaciers melting to create awareness and empathy around climate change. These sounds are now featured in her latest album, "Let Me Be Water", where NATURE is credited as an artist to receive a portion of all streaming royalties. This is part of Brian Eno's organization, Earth Percent's Sounds Right initiative. Her DJ set incorporates global percussive influences from Bhangra to Afro house to Reggaeton all while she MCs and plays live drums.
