Carol Scott
Carol Scott is Principal, Sustainability and ESG at TAIT, where she leads global efforts to embed sustainability into live event design, production, and operations. With over 40 years in the industry, she brings deep expertise in technical production, project leadership, and environmental advocacy.
Carol began her career in theatre before moving into touring, account management, and executive leadership. She has managed projects for artists including The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, and Pink Floyd, and supported globally recognised events such as the London and Sochi Olympic Ceremonies and the Queen’s Golden Jubilee. Her past leadership roles include Director of Sales at Vari-Lite, General Manager at VER Europe, and Vice President of Sales and Marketing at TAIT.
Today, Carol champions TAIT’s global sustainability strategy. She has implemented a platform to calculate our annual global emissions to create a baseline to determine priorities for future emissions reductions. At our major manufacturing sites, she has already transitioned the sites to renewable electricity contracts. She also leads TAIT’s internal Green Affinity Group and created the company’s sustainability onboarding and circular economy workshops.
Carol is Chair of LIVE Green in the UK and a collaborator with the Music Sustainability Alliance in the U.S In 2025, she won the TPi Industry Recognition Award for her leadership and dedication to green initiatives within live events. She regularly speaks at global events and mentors the next generation of talent, sharing practical frameworks for sustainable change.
