TOM BAILEY

 Tom Bailey has 16 years of experience in energy and climate change across the private, public and third sectors. He has multidisciplinary experience as a green energy engineer and policy analyst, research leader, program manager, strategist and communicator. Currently he is the Charity Director at Take the Jump, a joyous movement of citizens and communities working to deliver at least 27% of the changes needed to avoid ecological breakdown. Tom was lead author of the UK Labour Party's Energy and Climate Policy in the build up to the UK 2019 election. He spent six years at C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group as Head of Research and then Head of Special Projects, where he worked with Kate Raworths team to engage global cities in adopting the principles of Doughnut Economics. Before that he spent eight years as a sustainability engineer at global engineering firm Arup. Tom is passionate about unleashing the power of people to drive change, by balancing evidence-based analysis and innovative strategy, with bold real-world action and passionate communication. He has lived and worked in the UK, US, and China.
