COURTS CIRCUITS, AN ONGOING INITIATIVE EXPERIMENTING SLOW-TOURING ACROSS EUROPE

Time: 10:20-10:35 / Room 3

Speaker: Chloé Gatignol (Courts Circuits)

A 2019 study by Clean Scene shows that leading DJs take an average of 52 flights per year. In the context of the climate emergency, the “globe-trotting DJ” model is no longer sustainable. Courts Circuits initiative explores alternative touring models based on slow-touring over a three-year period. Led by Technopol in collaboration with Music Declares Emergency France, and DJs for Climate Action, the project develops tools and practices to support shared, low-carbon and more sustainable programming. Join Chloé Gatignol, project coordinator, to learn more on Courts Circuits ongoing activities & preliminary findings from the experiment.
