Art for Earth's Sake: The Power of Storytelling

Time 10:50-11:20 / Room 1

Chair: Greg Cochrane (Journalist)

Speakers: Ellie Coote (Hot Mess) , Doddz (Artist), Tobias Turley (Performer)

Storytelling is deeply rooted in the human existence. The stories we share can shape our perception and identity. Here we explore two storytelling artforms, using both age-old and emerging tools of communication.

Doddz is a multi-award-winning artist who blends art, AI, and storytelling to turn complex ideas into something more emotionally resonant. Discover The Pollution Piano, a world-touring artwork that turns real-time air-quality data into sound and story, offering a deeply human perspective on technology, sustainability, and creative action.

Ellie Coote, director and book writer of Hot Mess: A New Musical, will discuss her multi-award-winning pop musical that reimagines the love affair between Earth and Humanity and stars Danielle Steers (SIX) and Tobias Turley (MAMMA MIA!). GEI delegates will enjoy an exclusive performance from Tobias during this session.
