Reduce Waste, Reuse More
REDUCE WASTE
Effective waste management is one of the simplest ways we can reduce our environmental impact. By making conscious decisions about what we use, reuse, and dispose of, we can help conserve resources, reduce landfill waste, and support a more sustainable workplace.
All disposable serveware and cups are fully compostable – please put them in the food waste bins.
Compostable products are designed to break down naturally when disposed of correctly. Placing them in the food waste bin ensures they can be processed appropriately by our composting partners and diverted from landfill. When compostable items are placed in general waste, their environmental benefits are lost.
Check your waste before you bin it – are you using the correct bin?
Proper segregation of waste is essential for successful recycling and composting. Incorrectly disposed items can contaminate entire waste streams, reducing recycling rates and increasing disposal costs. Taking a moment to choose the correct bin helps ensure materials are managed in the most environmentally responsible way.
Think before you throw! Can this be reused?
Many items have a useful life beyond their first use. Reusing materials, containers, and office supplies reduces the demand for new resources and helps minimise waste generation. Before discarding an item, consider whether it can be used again by you or someone else.
Think before you take! Do you really need it?
The most sustainable waste is the waste that is never created. Being mindful about what we consume helps reduce unnecessary purchasing, packaging, and disposal. By only taking what we need, we can reduce resource consumption and support a more circular approach to sustainability.
